I don’t know why this has only dawned on me now, but I am certainly glad it did.
I remember back to one of my previous subjects that used Voice Thread as a means of communicating between lecturer and students as well as peer to peer.
I think this wonderful piece of technology would be excellent to use in the middle to upper levels of schooling. You can make a video or audio recording which is then uploaded, but the fantastic thing is that you can receive feedback from others directly to your recording.
This could be a great tool for teachers to use, the teacher can upload questions, assign work etc and students can respond with answers or further questions for the teacher or their peers. Alternatively, students may pose initial questions for the teacher, to which the teacher can respond online and at anytime.
I believe this is a great way to communicate with each other and could increase student confidence, knowledge and engagement.
